Maud Foster Windmill

The Maud Foster Windmill is well worth the 10 minute walk it takes to get there from Boston’s town centre. Built in 1819, this 80ft high working windmill is an interesting place to visit.

You can climb to the top of the Maud Foster Windmill – 7 floors high – and watch the milling process at first hand (a small charge is applicable). Knowledgeable staff will guide you through each stage of flour production and are always very happy to answers questions.

Visitors can stand on the viewing platform and watch the windmill’s majestic white sails whirring by – an experience not to be missed! There are fantastic views of Boston and The Haven (the tidal part of the River Witham) from here.

Maud Foster Windmill Shop

This great little shop sells organic stoneground flour milled onsite, as well as other flour-related products.

There are also souvenirs, guides and history books relating to the windmill and the town, on sale.

Maud Foster Holiday Apartment

Attached to the windmill is a luxury holiday apartment suitable for 2 people – so if you like the idea of staying next to a working windmill, then look no further!
