Crooked Willow Campsite

Running as an “off the grid” Eco site, Crooked Willow Campsite aim to offer a back to nature approach to camping. They want the experience to be authentic and so they have decided that every pitch at the camp will have a dedicated firepit that can keep you warm in the cool evenings.

There is only one camping pod at the site, which has been designed for families and includes interior and exterior lighting, a solar USB point to charge phones, a double futon bed and airbeds to fit four people. Or you can choose to stay in the luxury bell tents that feature:

  • Campfires
  • LED lights
  • Fairy Lights
  • Rustic stools
  • Rug
  • Mattresses
  • Picnic bench
  • Log stove

The toilet and showering facilities are in a traditional stable block, and there is an adjacent washing up area. There is even a Glamping Pantry that was converted from a 1950’s Horsebox where hot drinks can be made and food can be cooked with all cutlery and crockery provided.

North Shore Holiday Centre

Located to the north of Skegness, North Shore Holiday Centre is a great place for all the family with plenty of entertainment for the kids and accommodation options to suit all. There is a 9-hole Pitch & Putt golf course to have a swing at, as well as tennis courts, play areas for the children and even a park shop that sells all the essentials.

Bring your own touring caravan to the site, or stay in one of the apartments, static caravans or camping pods. The pods themselves are of exceptional quality and made to make you feel right at home. They have the following features:

  • Lockable doors
  • One standard double electric socket
  • Oil-filled heater
  • Lamp
  • Decking at the front

Use the nearby toilet and shower block to freshen up, as well as the pot washing and chemical disposal facilities when needed.

Grooby’s Pit

Exclusively for adults only, Grooby’s Pit is perfect for those who love fishing as there are two lakes set within 7 acres of peaceful countryside. This retreat is still close to Skegness and easily accessible from the main roads so you can travel around the area.

If you would prefer to camp traditionally, there are hard standing pitches with a personal tap and 16-amp electric hook up with lake side views. However, if you would prefer something different and special, there is the camping pod that features:

  • Porch light and decking
  • Outdoor table and chairs
  • Built in lights and electrical sockets
  • Settee/double bed
  • Coffee table
  • Fridge, microwave and kettle
  • Heater

Dogs aren’t allowed inside the pod, but they are welcome everywhere else as long as they are kept on their leads.

Skegness Water Leisure Park

Open from the beginning of March until mid-November, Skegness Water Leisure Park has a variety of options when it comes to accommodation. The site itself has plenty to keep everyone in the family entertained, such as fishing lakes, a restaurant, a coffee shop, light railway and activities just for the kids.

You can choose to stay in one of the holiday bungalows for a self-catering experience, camp on one of the many pitches, some of which come with electric hook up, or you can try out one of the camping pods.

There are nine 4 berth pods and two 6 berth ones to choose from, and all have the following features:

  • French doors
  • Electricity and heating
  • Outside wooden decking area
  • Picnic bench
  • BBQ stand
  • Electrical sockets

Dogs are allowed in three of the 4 berth pods, if you would like to bring them along on the holiday. On site there are two launderettes, and five toilet and shower blocks with everything you need to freshen up.
