Fishing Lakes with Accommodation in Lincolnshire

Chestnuts Holiday Cottages

Surrounded by the idyllic countryside of the Lincolnshire Wolds, Chestnuts Holiday Cottages are created from an authentic farm with self-catering accommodation. There is something for everyone at the farm and the whole family is sure to enjoy their time here.

There are two private fishing lakes that cater to all types of anglers and are well stocked with Carp, Tench, Rudd, Roach and Perch. As well as this, there are a range of animals on the farm such as pigs, chickens, donkeys, rabbits and many more. If you have ever wanted to experience a real Lincolnshire Farm, Chestnuts Holiday Cottages is for you.

In total, there are 15 cottages on the farm, each designed to a great standard to help you relax and enjoy your stay. The cottages vary in size and in terms of how many people they can sleep, but Ivy Cottage, for example, can accommodate 10 people in its four bedrooms!

Sycamore Lakes Park

Located in the coastal town of Skegness, Sycamore Lakes Park provides a variety of accommodation. These include cottages, cabins, apartments, touring site and a static caravan park. There are four well-stocked lakes, home to Carp weighing over 25lbs, as well as Rudd, Roach, Tench and Perch. Furthermore, they have their own fishing tackle shop on site.

The accommodation has the following features:

  • Cottages: sleep 2 to 6 people, with well-equipped kitchens, furnished lounge, bathrooms with bath/shower and private parking. All have been recently refurbished ready to enjoy in 2021.
  • Cabins: also recently refurbished. Scandinavian styled with pine interior, sleep 2 to 5 people with open plan lounge, fully fitted kitchen, sliding patio doors with panoramic views and stylish veranda.
  • Apartments: 2 luxury apartments that can sleep up to 8 in one and 3 in another, with open plan kitchen, dining and living area and stylish bedrooms.
  • Touring Site: plenty of spacious pitches with electric hook-ups, amenity block, laundrette facilities, Lakes Restaurant & Bar, dog walk and footpaths.
  • Static Caravan Park: available to purchase with premier plots with views of an ornamental pond with waterfall, peaceful setting and close to fishing lakes.

Caistor Lakes

Set within seven acres of the picturesque Lincolnshire Wolds, Caistor Lakes is a family-run camp site that offers great facilities for touring caravans, motorhomes and static caravans. In addition, they have brand new lodges for you to try out as well, with private decking and deluxe Jacuzzis. There is also a restaurant and bar at the site with both indoor and outdoor seating; perfect for the upcoming warmer months.

In total, there are three well- stocked fishing lakes. One with a specimen of carp, a match lake with competitions held regularly and a leisure lake for coarse anglers. There is something for everyone at Caistor and they all operate on a day and night ticket basis.

There are 30 luxury caravan and motorhome pitches with the following features:

  • Electric hook-ups
  • Fresh water
  • Chemical waste disposal units
  • Hard standing with grassed awning area

Furthermore, the onsite restaurant is open to everyone, not just those staying at the camp, with 100 seats and locally sources home cooked produce for you to try. They also offer a food delivery service to the lodges if you can’t drag yourself away from your luxurious Jacuzzi!

Tattershall Lakes

Situated in the countryside of Lincolnshire, Tattershall Lakes offers a Lakeland paradise for you to escape to. Among the lakes you can water-ski, jet-ski, wakeboard and, of course, set up your fishing gear. There are two well-stocked fishing lakes that cater for most levels of experience, with a range of Tench, Mirror Carp and Bream.

There are multiple ways to stay at Tattershall Lakes, such as the lodges, some of which come with hot tubs, as well as the static caravans and glamping tents. All accommodation, apart from the glamping tents, come with toilets, along with fridges, TVs, fully-fitted kitchens and everything you need for a great holiday.

Hanworth Country Park

Opened to the public in 2020, Hanworth is situated a 10-minute drive from Lincoln in the quaint village of Potterhanworth. There are currently four fishing lakes, stocking Carp, Chub, Barbel, F1s, Ide, Perch, Roach and Tench, set in a serene location ideal for walking and relaxation. You can purchase day tickets, summer evening tickets or, for the really keen fishers, season tickets.

Accommodation includes luxury lodges (sleeps 7) with hot tubs, static caravans (sleeps 8) and glamping, perfect for a solo trip or couples’ retreat, as well as touring and camping sites.

There is also a bar & restaurant, while a number of walking/cycling routes have been built in amongst the park’s wildlife for you to explore.

Westwood Lakes

Set in a peaceful part of Lincolnshire on the edge of Boston lies Westwood Lakes, which has developed into a great holiday location. With a collection of seven fishing lakes, 30 luxury holiday lodges, a restaurant and a Tackle and Bait shop, Westwood Lakes has it all. Surrounded by woodland and flowers, it is the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway.

The seven fishing lakes on site are:

  • Skylark Lake: 42 pegs spread 12 meters apart and 13 meters wide, featuring Carp, Barbel, Skimmers, Bream, Tench, Roach and Crucians.
  • Kingfisher Lake: established lake with two islands and 22 pegs, featuring Carp, Barbel, Tench, Bream, Crucians and Brown Goldfish.
  • Hawk Lake: fishing from the island with a total of 20 pegs and a variety of Carp, Barbel, Tench, Roach, Skimmer and Chub.
  • Kestrel Lake: comprised of 30 pegs and four islands, this lake contains specialist fish.
  • Osprey Lake: 25 peg strip lake that is ideal for club matches and is heavily stocked with Carp, Mirrors and Tench.
  • Swallow Lake: newest lake on site with 30 pegs and stocked with Carp, Bream, Tench and Roach.
  • Falcon Lake: another new lake that is horseshoe shaped with 52 pegs that are evenly spread and is stocked with Mirrors and Barbel.

There are various types of lodges available for you to stay in and some even come with a hot tub for you to relax in at the end of the day.
