Lincolnshire Food

Lincolnshire, England’s second largest county (by area), is largely agricultural, with a rich and fertile soil. It produces over 20% of all foodstuffs grown in the UK. Little wonder, therefore, Lincolnshire food is so sought after!

Food production and farming from the county is estimated to contribute over £1 billion pounds to the economy each year; we definitely know our stuff when it comes to good food.

Did you know that:

  • Most people from outside of Lincolnshire have never even heard of Stuffed Chine!

With such a long and illustrious agricultural background, it is no wonder that Lincolnshire Food is  some of the finest and freshest in the land.

Celebrating the wonderful and diverse nature of Lincolnshire food, the county is home to several important food festivals throughout the year. Lincolnshire Plum Loaf

You’ll find this tasty treat served at most tea rooms and coffee shops across the country. You can also buy it as a loaf in a number of farm shops and markets.

This succulent fruit bread is best served cut into thick slices, covered with butter and a big slab of Lincolnshire Poacher Cheese placed on top. Of course, it also goes well with jams, chutney and in bread pudding!
